The Hotel Il Granduca is a nineteenth century hotel, situated in a quiet street in the centre of Florence, just one kilometre from the city's famous Duomo. The 21 air conditioned guestrooms have traditional style decor in soft pastel colours with cream antique style wooden furnishings and flowered bedspreads. All guestrooms have direct dial phones, safes, clock radios, trouser presses and satellite television.
Guests can start the day with a varied buffet breakfast in the hotel's dining room, which has traditional style d�cor and furnishings. Guests can also relax with a drink in the large lounge, enjoy a cappuccino in the pretty terrace garden, or take advantage of 24 hour room service. For those with children, babysitting services are on offer. The front desk offers a currency exchange and safe deposit box service, and the hotel has a lift. The Il Granduca has conference rooms for business clients and for those arriving by car, private parking can be arranged on request. Most of the city's key attractions are within easy reach, with bars, restaurants, the Convent of Saint Mark, Duomo (Cathedral), Accademia Gallery, Archaeological Museum, Medici Palace and Ponte Vecchio all within two kilometres. Florence Vespucci Airport is approximately 12 kilometres and a 20 minute drive from the hotel. A half hourly bus runs from the airport to Santa Maria Novella station in the town centre. From Santa Maria Novella station, bus number 62 runs to the hotel.
