Location. The Hotel La Plage is located in Taormina, Italy, within 50 metres from the beach, 200 metres from the cable car, which connects the hotel to the town centre. Taormina Giardini railway station is two kilometres from the hotel.

Expert Tip. Taormina town centre is worth a visit. Clinging on the Tauro Mountain, its narrow streets weave up the hill, past quaint houses with displays of colourful flowers.

From Catania Fontanarossa Airport (CTA):
Distance to Hotel La Plage is 40 kilometres, approximately 40 minutes' drive.
Getting there. There is a direct bus service from Catania airport to Taormina town centre. The buses leave every 20 minutes, and a single fare costs 5 EUR. Trains run between Catania train station to Taormina Gardini. The 457 city bus connects the airport to Catania train station. Taxis are available in front of the terminal. A journey to the hotel costs 80 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. From the hotel Taormina town centre can be easily explored by foot. An inexpensive rail network links Sicily's larger towns, including Palermo, Messina, Catania, Taormina, and Syracuse. Buses run throughout the towns and many of the smaller villages. A car is recommended for exploring the less touristy areas.
